Globalization and International Trade: The Impact on the Mid-Atlantic Economy – 5/13/2008
This half-day forum organized by TowsonGlobal, the US Commercial Service and M&T Bank generated thought-provoking discussions on business globalization and international trade. Expert panelists—drawn from labor groups, think tanks, trade associations, citizen groups and businesses—provided insights into both the pros and cons of trade and globalization, and delved specifically into the China and India markets. Attendees included labor, business and citizen group leaders, government officials, and academics concerned about how globalization and trade issues impact their businesses, workers, citizens and communities. The event was presided over by Towson University President, Bob Caret and Baltimore County Executive, Jim Smith.
